Transport Policy in the North

The Northern Sparsely Populated Areas-network (NSPA) cordially invites you to the seminar “Transport Policy in the North” with keynote speakers from the governments of Finland, Norway, Sweden and Russia, the European Commission and the Secretariat for the Northern Dimension Partnership on Transport and Logistics (NDPTL). The seminar will focus on how transport policy contributes to the development in the North including the Barents region and the Arctic and how infrastructure projects can and should be financed. The speakers will give their view on the opportunities and the impacts of on-going and expected activities in the Arctic region and the Northern Route on trade and transport as well as the preparedness on regional, national and EU level for the future development in the region. Moderator will be Mr. Fabian Zuleeg, Chief Economist at the European Policy Centre (EPC). The seminar will be followed by a reception.
