Invitation: NSPA Transport Seminar, 19th of November

We are pleased to welcome you to the next NSPA Transport Seminar the 19th of November in Brussels.

Transport infrastructure in the European Arctic - Challenges and opportunities

The network for the Northern Sparsely Populated Areas (NSPA) in cooperation with Jens Nilsson, MEP, and Henna Virkkunen, MEP, cordially invite you to the seminar "Transport infrastructure in the European Arctic". Themes that will be addressed include cross-border cooperation on transport and logistics and the potential impact it delivers for European growth.

The seminar will focus on current challenges for transport and infrastructure in the Arctic region, and establish an arena for discussion between regional actors and the EU. Commitment to infrastructure development is essential to ensure regional growth and value creation. Through this seminar, we will demonstrate how we are looking at comprehensive cross-border solutions in order to make such a commitment as effective as possible. The European Arctic is of significant importance to the EU as exporters of vital goods and resources. This is why a well-functioning transport network in the region is in the best interest of the EU. We wish to emphasize this during the seminar.
