The Northern Nordic gateway to EU’s Arctic security, prosperity and strategic autonomy
The Northern Nordic gateway to EU’s Arctic security, prosperity and strategic autonomy 3 September at 09-10 o’clock @EU Arctic Forum
Welcome to a discussion with the 14 regions of Northern Sparsely Populated Areas (NSPA) and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) regarding perspectives on “dual-use” for development and resilience. This to assure that the European Arctic deliver as a stronghold for EU’s global interests of long-term sustainable security, prosperity and strategic autonomy, within the region as well as for the larger Arctic and all of Europe. The Northern Nordics of European Arctic is a European asset of risk to become a weak point in a geopolitically increasingly volatile world if not now doing the right and needed actions to maximise EU's engagement and wanted outcome of invested resources.
Participants will be from the OECD, the regions of northern Sweden, Finland and Norway, European Parliament, the EU Arctic Envoy and others.
Join this official Side-Event to the EU Arctic Forum on Thursday 3 September at 10-11 o’clock at Charlemagne Building, Brussels. More information on the site for EU Arctic Forum and NSPA homepage. Contact: mikael.janson@northsweden.eu.
